To drift the thread a bit, about walking footwear which doesn't last. When
I was in the RAF in Aden (South Yemen) I walked in plymsols, remember
them?, on volcanic cinders, which cut them into shreds in a couple of days
use. Back to Stores for another pair, and the never questioned the number
I got through.
