Have you considered "just one Cornetto,
give it to me" As cornetto is singular, "one" is redundant. I'm
waiting for a chance to say spagetto in Italy, but how often can
you find one strand?
Similar to Welsh in some ways. There are some words where you add a suffix
to denote the singular, since the plural is the norm. Like ash (the tree)
for example. "Ash trees" are "onn", a single ash tree is "onnen".
Similarly plant means children, plentyn means child. No reason to say "un
plentyn", or "un onnen".
Welsh can be very concise in some ways, like "a" and "the". There is no
word for "a", that's implied by the absence of "the". For example, craig is
rock, so "a rock" is simply "craig". "The rock" is "y graig".
But notice that the word "the" has caused the letter "c" to mutate to "g".
Now that the word has changed to graig, "the" becomes redundant, since it's
implied by the "g". So...
A rock = craig
The rock = graig
More confusing to learn, but more condensed in speech.
