Hi, I'm planning to hike the Appalachian Trail starting in April but
need
to get a tourist VISA to get into the U.S. for the 6 months. If someone
else
has done this successfully, what did they put under questions 24 and 25:
---------------------------------------------
24: At what address will you stay in the U.S?
25: Name and telephone numbers of persons in the U.S. who you will be
staying with?
---------------------------------------------
I don't know if a suit in the VISA office will look badly on an answer
such
as "Somewhere between Georgia - Maine; in the mountains hopefully under
the
stars"
If anyone can help I would be really grateful, I thought I had organised
everything until I came accross this problem....
Ian.
I've had a couple of 6 month US Visas. I put down the address of the first
place I stayed in one case and the address of a friend the second. I used
the name and phone number of friends too.
Thanks for the tips, I'm just aware of the paranoia the U.S. seem to have
with outsiders getting lost in their country just now... I'll phone one of
the suggested trail shuttles in Atlanta and see if they can supply an
address for the first few nights.
Cheers all, Ian MacD
