And 60CS too?

Yep, since it uses the same firmware.

This is only due to the older units not have a compatible version of
software.

Have you downloaded the latest patch?

If you mean 4.05, then no, that's beta firmware and I don't have time to go trail blazing. Besides, the reply from Garmin didn't indicate that even that would fix the problem.

Yeah right, like the 60C is a real antique unit that they won't have
thought to test UK Topo V2 on (what the heck DID they use).

I bought my 60CS specifically in anticipation of UK Topo! They were
promising it way back then!

Yes I know. Well it all works fine, except for paths and tracks. Another amusing feature, they have actually coded rivers (even small ones, like Rea Brook, well north of where it turns into the River Rea) as polygons ('small lake' as it happens). This means they have width as you zoom in (which is nice) but means they take at least 2x the storage and render rather slower than using the river (line) type.

I did ask 'why no ROWs, why only paths and tracks' and the answer seemed to be that it's OSGB's fault for not being able to provide proper digital data for their mapping, which I find sort of unbelievable.
