OT: Do you limit your trips?

Due to global warming and the effect of the car on the environment I limit my walking trips to one long drive every month only. When I say long I mean more than 10 miles each way. I also don't take any foreign holidays and try to avoid air travel completely.

I have the same kind of mentality for all areas of my life, not just walking. While sometimes I feel as though I may be missing out, it is in my opinion a worthwhile sacrifice.

My question is, how many other people have the same philosophy? This seems the ideal place to ask as walkers are in general a nature loving bunch.
