I agree - being also of the woolly jumper generation, + or - a few
years.
But we are not Adnys. We have developed over the years, and appreciate
better gear. I spent about 14 years in wellies, but gave them up many
moons ago.
Of course we can wander the Highlands and Lakes with not much gear -
but it's a lot more comfy with modern equipment.
