I would like to be able to download track data from my GPS to my PC. One of the more important bits of data to me is my time at any given waypoint. Using this timestamp information I can for example see how long it took me to walk from one point to another or even how long I spent in the pub at lunch time.
Do any of the mapping programs (I am thinking Anquet, Memory Map or Tracklogs) allow you to download complete tracklog data and review it, perhaps in a spread*** like table? I have a trial version of Anquet and can download a tracklog, but all I can see is the route on a map. I cannot find the data, not quite what I am wanting.

I recommend that you take a look at the excellent GPS Utility software
see http://www.gpsu.co.uk/ There are freeware and shareware versions.
GPSU can be used alone or alongside commercial software such as Anquet or MemoryMap. What I like about GPSU is that it has excellent import, export and file conversion support. I use it to analyze and to archive my tracklogs and waypoints.
Other alternatives are Gartrip and OziExpolorer.

Spot on, Mike. Thanks.
GPSU appears to give me what I want, although in my freeware version (4.15.1), I am limited to downloading 500 waypoints from the GPS. I think I can use G7toWin to download all my track waypoints, then break the file up for loading into GPSU, this then starts to get messy.
I could buy the full version of GPSU but I was rather hoping that one of the mapping programs would do both jobs of route planning and also allow me to analyse my tracks walked.
I have had a go at plotting some paths on the demo version of Anquet which includes OS mapping at 25,000 around Ullswater amd Haweswater. I then joined them together to form a route from Mardale Head to Sandhill Knotts climbing up to Wether Hill then back along High Street before descending back to the reservoir. I was impressed (long walk though!). I then downloaded the tracks in my GPS to Anquet, but they are off the detailed mapping. As far as I can see downloading a track to Anquet is pointless except to retain as a route for future use or to give to friends.
