Hi. My question is not as stupid as it seems to be in the subject don't
worry. I was just wondering if there's a way to burn my 700MB DVD-RIP
movies to a DVD5 CD (4.7GB) and then being able to play them in a TV
DVD Player. With Nero 7 Premium I got plenty choice except what I
really want to do. Nero allows me to burn a 700MB movie or whatever is
the size of the video and fit it on a 4.7GB DVD CD. I want to keep the
quality and audio the same. On a DVD5 CD I should be able to fit 6
times 700MB movie. I think you should now get it. I want to fit six
700MB movies on one single DVD5 CD and be able to play them in a DVD
player. Could anyone tell me what I need to do that and how?
Thank you.
Two different solutions -
1. If you want a classic DVD video disc that will play in any DVD player
with menu's and chapters then the processing must conform to the DVD video
disc format that is all of the video files regardless of how small they may
be will be converted during the process of DVD Authoring to MPEG2 files and
will be expanded considerably in size.
You could try adding 6 x 700MB during the DVD Authoring process but the end
result will be quite likely a final file size of 8 or 9GB so you would then
have to use DVDShrink to bring it back down to 4.7GB. A lot of processing,
time and effort.
2. If your DVD player will play DivX or Xvid files then of course you can
just copy 6 x 700MB avi files as DATA on to a DVD blank. Most modern DVD
players will play DivX files. No menu's, no chapters just a generic explorer
type window appears when the disc is read in the player. You scroll down to
select the file and hit enter - voila!!
