Re: (OT) dvd recorder tuner frequency range

But liteon's website also has specs, and picking one of their
DVD recorders at random, it does say the tuner supports UHF/VHF/CATV.
So worth looking there, perhaps ?

I did, although only looking at the 5045/5026 as they're the ones I'm interested in (good price on svp, btw). Been through the manual with a fine tooth comb - not an inkling of the tuner's range :-( Likewise the web site; although I /did/ find a quite well-hidden email address, which I've since tried with this question, and await the outcome.

Looking again at the web site, I see the 5001/5005 do specify as you say; that's not present for the 5045 though :-( But it sounds hopeful.

Thanks!
