download the xpi file, and open it from thunderbird. Firefox tries to
install it unto itself if you don't discipline it severely.

Coo! Rescind earlier post.

Documentation says that Leetkey doesn't work with my version of
Thunderbird (3.0.3Pre). Documentation appears to be correct.

MR Tech Toolkit gives me the option to override version checking. I've
done that and the system tells me that Leetkey installed. There's no
trace of it in Thunderbird though.

Last time I lwked (about a dozen fortnights ago IIRC) the only reason it
wasn't jbexing was the context menu code needed fixing. I put off doing
that until I really needed to, or better still the original developer
updated it, leaving my tuits pleted. Just had a lwk at the latest
version of TB, and that appears to have gone a tad postal on addons
which aren't compatibubble, so even the jbexing code isn't being given a
chance to run. It is GPL thobut, so I will be having a play with it RSN.
If they've made it match the documentation, the modifications I was
trying a while ago should jbex by now.

Thankee kindly. Have a virtual pint on me in anticipation.
