Better be a strong and fireproof box. 240V across 470uF is going to be
about 40 amps, with results that would have been just right for for last

(and you'd have to find a 470uF cap that could take AC mains voltages,
not an electrolytic)

You might get away with an LC filter; the L would have to be big and then
the C could be smaller. The real answer is to get a proper sinewave
inverter if square waves aren't acceptable. It'll costyer...
