The message <aevou4trgns97gbhlvs4p201rq9r0h9sep@xxxxxxx>
from Austin Shackles <austinDITCHTHISFORBETTERRESULTS@xxxxxxxxxxxx>
contains these words:
I still like the icelandic lot. I got put off AVG by the big shouty "AVG
is updating" windows, then "AVG has finished updating". I HATE things that
pop up when you're in the middle of doing something and need you to click on
a cancel button to make them hooter off.
I daresay you could turn that off. But why make it necessary? Proper stuff
shoudl update automagically (if asked to) and do so silently, only notifying
you if there's something that needs action.
Go to main widow (or pain) and uncheck automagic updating.
It will whinge and sulk in the right bit of the toolbar, but a
right-cluck on the icon will bring-up a ickle pane with the magic worms:
'Update now'.
Then it gets all happy and the whingebit disappears - until it updates
and realises automagic updates are *STILL* unflagged.
