Ohling a Linux Eeeeeeeeee is on my tuit list and I've considered
changing it to Ubuntu but don't know how this is done. Is it
necessary to wipe the current installation and start again (and
therefore lose all installed programmes) or can Ubuntu be loaded on
top of Xandros? I presume, being an OS, it's an all-or-nothing
reinstall?
Just so
But I believe that there is a re-install disk with the eeeeeee, so it
is not irreversable.
I have a couple of spare flatpot hard drives, so when I ohl something
new I pop one of those in and install to that first, just to see how
it goes. It is easier than setting up dual booting.
The ubuntu process will set up a dual boot with another linux, as well
as with windows, but it will be slightly fiddly. on an eeeeeeeeeeee
with a soild state disk there might not be much room.
