Yall are not pronouncing it right. It's "arm-uh-diller". Well, in

ITYF that Lizz is an expert.

I am sure she will concur. That is, it's pronounced arm-uh-diller by
proper, well-bred redneck Texans. Your lower class Texan might
pronounce it "arm uh dillo" but, well, we PWBRT eschew them.

Whilst we in the infintely superior and culturally advanced Great
State of Joklahoma usually pronounce it 'arm a DILLA', the two
languages resemble each other in basic vocabulary and syntax that we
can usually exchange ideas with those benighted denizens of Baja
Oklahoma. Except if one of them is my middle sister, who moved to
Texas in 197mumble and went native, but there wasn't much arguing with
her *before* that, so post hoc ain't necessarily propter hoc.

Joklahoma is also known as "Texas light."
