Bloody quicktime. I've a good mind to ditch it. insists on searching for
updates, it's impossible to tell it not to before it does so and everytime
it's tried so far it's thrown a hissy fit and crashed seamonkey.

You can stop it doing that.. run regedit and hie thee to
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current Version/Run and delete the key
for qttask.exe

In fact, most stuff that starts up automagically can be stopped from
doing so in there..
