Start, Settings, right-click on Printers and Faxes, From the context
menu choose Open, highlight "Add Printer", from the menu bar select
File, Server Properties, Advanced Tab, tick "Log Informational Events",
click OK.

See? The easy way is even longerer.

point is, there's no easy way (from within windows) to find this sort of
thing.
