Synchronicity strikes again because I was thinking of you last night,
looking as I was out of the window, over the road, at 'the house'.

For those that remember, and care, it is Christmas again and a report is
due; but, alas, there is hardly anything to report apart from one string of
lights running the length of the house; a lit 'Happy Etc' sign in the
kitchen window, a couple of peevish looking Santa icons inside the porch
and a candlestick in the bedroom window.
And that, is it.
That is all that remains of the grandeur that was Jinglebells Drive and the
glory that was Twinkling Phil.

His time now it taken up with twinkling in a different manner and his
impersonations of old swivel-hips are so popular he is fully booked right up
to July next year. Creativity must have an outlet, I suppose... Blimey...

ANYway, Beard-the-Brute has taken up the torch and is running, waving it
over his head, while uttering loud cries of 'come one, come all,' and, as he
hasn;t managed to sell his single decker bus... Well... On the top is...

On the fifth day of Christmas, my true-love sent to me... One giant
illuminated inflatable polar bear, seated; one giant, ditto, Homer, doing
the twist, and/or limbo dancing; one giant, ditto, Santa, swaying drunkenly,
one huge ditto, reindeer, squatting, and hundreds and hundreds of assorted
flickering lights. Add to this walk-past instant carols, right from day one,
and the place still reminds me of a third-class night club in downtown Port
Said.
