Bargains are perception, innit. Downpipe rainwater divertors are a fiver
or so from Screwfix, but often go for a tenner plus postage on eBay.

Hmmmm. I see a business opportunity....

The thought had occured to me. Next time I go to Screwfix anyway (or the
profit'll vanish in fuel costs) I'll ohl half a dozen and see what
happens.

Actually, I suspect that a lot of people assume that the eBay price is the
cheapest price, quite wrongly. I wish there were a simple way to find out
what the top sellers on eBay are, and then look for sources: I imagine that
you could make a decent (if dull) living from exploiting the difference.

I've just ordered arj binocularsº from the youessovay. Exactly the same
ones as I found on a UK bino-selling site, were on binoculars.com, except
that including 35 bucks to get it sent by fedex "economy" 4-5 day service,
the total was 105 bucks, wot are about 58 quid from my paypal fundingsource,
as distinct from about 100 quid this side of the pond. Even if I get stung
for vat on the total, it's still about 30 quid less.

whirled mad, stillagain.

º sadly, the elcheapo 15-quid ones have gone out of alignment, and having
pulled 'em apart I see no viable way of getting 'em back and keeping them
there. I'll pull the prisms and lenses for other uses like molishing
rainbows or magnifying glarses, of course.

Arjly-ordered ones are marine-grade, sealed, nitrogen filled, waterproof,
fogproof, etc. and hopefully, reasonably robust TAAW, and all this for 70
bucks. No doubt somesheddi will now be going to america in 5 minutes and
could've brought 'em back and saved me the 35 bucks carriage.
