Summat funny happening with this old W98 chamine and/or Tirnpuke tonight
- as I trype, the characters appear with a slight delay (about half a
second or so) for some reason or other. I wonder if there's trouble
brewing with the chamine; it boots up abeznily and in the hfhny time, so
no clear evidence of memory prombles or simla, but it's odd. Come to
goov of it, everything's taking longer than it ought to - opening and
closing programs, posts, files, anything. Arwell, I suppose it doesn't
owe me anything after nearly 200 fortnights.
What does Task Manager have to say about CPU usage? (Can't remember
how to fire it up in W98 -- was it Ctrl-Alt-Del back then or did you have to
go through the Start menu?)
