And I don't care if you did calculus when you were
three.

It's also clever tricks in the department of Hard Sums, wot can be quite
hfrshy, when jbexing with things like acceleration, freample.

A lot of stuff (e.g. a big chunk of physics, and some chemistry) can't be
done at all without it, except in a hand-wawy sort of way.

O level physics could, back in the mid 70s and mid 80s. I know, because
I did it in both decades. I got a B in the end, and was very
disappointed because I wanted an A.

Yebbut in the mid 70s you learnt the various equations of motion off pat
without knowing/understanding that/how they were related by calculus
innit?

Sorry Helen, you're probably right but for obvious reasons I have
absolutely no idea. You see, I still have absolutely no idea what it
is...

Calculus is a collective term for a number of techniques, mainly
differential and integral calculus. If you ever did anything of the form
dy/dx, that would be differentiation, AKA differential calculus.

'twere differential equations that stymied me. basic differentiation and
integration molish frafr, DEs seem to rely entirely too much on luck and 20
years of practice for my taste.
