Robert got a letter from the university today, including a list of

sense and not a promble. I was intrigued, however, by the rule that
toothpaste shall not be put on walls, notice boards or ceilings. What
/have/ their students been up to? And - WHY??

You've obviously never encountered some of the really dumb things students
do when they are a) pissed b) not pissed c) supposed to be revising d) not
supposed to be revising e) bored f) breathing. You can't expect someone
not to do something just because you haven't expressly forbidden it.
