I'm off to Leftpondia for ibex on Sunday. Really looking forward to 8
hours with no laptop to watch DVDs, no iPod, no books allowed...

And no fear of maniacs with explosives hidden in laptops, books etc.

Funny, I never useter have that when I flew to and fro the Great Wen
(/cum/ water bockles, and co-passengers /cum/ electronics) before,
either. Nor did I feel any more panic when flying back Wednesday, when
such were allowed to Schiphol again, than Saturday, when they wernt
allowed from there.

Bored but safer.

That is... debatable. It's politically correct, most serpently, but is
it _factually_ correct? I would venture not, unless one of the flaptops
were a Dell.

Ah well. Never mind the facts, just throw your toys out the pram at the
first opportunity. Everybody will be very understanding of your "feelings"
(so long as you're not travelling while of Asian appearance, like the copper
said).

furrfu. People getting hysterical is one thing (and predictable in the
circs.), but to have all the "authorities" going along with it is something
else.

Also http://raedinthemiddle.blogspot.com/ where the poor bloke gets it from
both sides. Well-chosen site name there.
