Fatuous clocklessness

We may already have mentioned NatWest's removal of clocks from their
branches allegedly to stop people complaining about how long they've
queued for.
While googling about this I found a wonderful quote...
'Before we embarked upon our branch refurbishment programme we sought
feedback from customers on what they wanted in branches to improve their
banking experience - clocks did not feature,' said a spokesman.
Following consultation, changes were being made, 'to make the banking
experience more pleasurable,' he added.
Great - I bet "Adequate floor strength" didn't feature either. Perhaps
this year will be the year NatWest pares down the joists to streamline
the business. D'yer reckon Austin, Krane and I could tour the country
claiming compensation for unexpcted trips to the basement?
