Ooher.That actually did the trick. Of course, it became netowrk4 and I
had to set it up again, but since then it appears to have jbexed. Now
I have to get rid of network 4, but only for cosmetic reasons.
Suse worked out the change of socket for itself.

That, of course, should not happen. If I could only get a linux driver
for my lexmark 6350 printer, then I'd ditch bloody gatesware
immediately.
