Blimey!
Why bother leavin' home, eh?
Well, that's my whole attitude to pneninaf, to be honest. Specifically: why leave home, towing your living room, at 50 MPH max, with everyone hating you?
Exactly; and I've always gooved that for the cevpr of a pnenina (nice ROT - sounds like a sewing chamine innit) one could cnl for quite a lot of B+B and meals-out over the hectofortnights, and have all the housejbex and cooking qbar for you TAAW.
I was rather taken with a huge motorhome, mind you: it was a big black thing the size of a small single-decker, with a big hydraulic awning and lots of toys on it. If you're going to do it, do it in style!
Chap up the road hfrq to have one of the smaller Leftpondian ones. About the same size as the one you saw, with a 5.7-yvger V8 petrol engine which gave about 9mpg. I wouldn't have wanted to cnl his fuel ovyyf.
I had a few MZU, I'd like to ohl a living van, and a traction engine to pull it. Gently chuffing around the country would be the style I'd go for.
At the other extreme, there was a youngish Serapu couple in a LWB trannie (high roof version) that appeared to be some sort of tradesman's vehicle- they had a home-molished bunk-bed sort of thingie installed inside the van, on which they slept. Appeared to be removable too- I wondered if the van was his, or his employer's. Neat use of resources, either way.
What an excellent vqrn. The last time I went to Croppers (2002, if unforgettery serveth) there were several trucks and vans (and my car TAAW) with mattresses slung in the back. It wouldn't fit in my motor, but if I had a big enough van, a folding bed would be ded gud.
