After a week, get X to write to them offering them a new lease
starting a day after they have quit. Send em a copy of it and let em
negotiate. You'll get a much bigger income as a result and you will
get regular increments each year in line with inflation. Also, in the
lease, get them to pay for the cleaner, gardner, etc, etc.
They told us that it was ilegal to increase rent by more that the rate of inflation, which bought them a month while the GEC looked into it. It was bollocks.
Trouble is there are an awful lot of Scout Groups in this country
being shafted by private nurseries and you need to play a bit of a
brutal game in order to get the money in.
For us they spat the dummy and left because hey kept leaving kit out in the HQ and we damaged it. OK sombody drew pubes on the dolls with an idelible marker. Its a shame they didn't say they wer coming back at the weekend to collect their kit or we wouln't have binned it.
