Hi
Does anyone have a different bank account for going on camp or do you use
your normal group account.

We used to have one, but the treasurer thought it wasn't a good
idea, so we scrapped it. The argument being all funds should go
through the group account.
The impact is that banking cheques for camps etc. becomes more
complicated as now it is done by the treasurer and not the
leaders. The number of transactions through the group account is
greatly increased.
Personally I think it better to have a separate account.
We don't have sectional accounts, except for Explorers as we manage
that for them. We do have special accounts - Building, Group, Archery,
Kayaking, Capitation. We do not have a camp account .
We do keep camp accounts, but all monies get paid in and out of the
Group Account.
It's crazy enough running six accounts without adding another for
Camps.
Can't see the benefit myself.
