i would suggest this a BPS event (or similar). It will be v
traditional... and will not have many attendees from wosm
associations. Who can run a week
long camp for £50 of activities? (i would struggle).
I know that the BPSA has tried to solve child protection issues that
were highlighted not so long ago but i would add a caveat about CRBs
and the fact that this will NOT be run to UKSA yellow card standards
(i assume) but their own rules and regs.
i would be wary on many levels.
NB i tried to look up the BPS CP policy. their website is down. too
modern? :-) www.badenpowellscouts.org.uk/ -
I haven't yet had a look at the web site but do have to ask the question
what are their child protection problems.
I understand that they use the CRB proceedure. I do know that they have had
problems in the past but then again so have the SA.
By the way the web site is http://www.traditionalscouting.co.uk/ and not as
you quoted - that was given up some time ago as far as I know.
