I know that some people have involved Scouts in making short films as part
of the Scout programme.
I am looking for more in the way of creative short films that may be funny
or serious but not just a documentary.
It is something I would like to try but want to give them an idea what
others have done.

We can produce 2 video cameras and have given patrols 30 mins to plan some
short 2 min videos. I don't let them have the camera until they have spent
their 30min planning. By far the easiest way for them to get started is to
give them the challenge of producing a TV soap or advertisement. Otherwise
they spend the whole 30 mins arguing and not deciding what to do. I would
also advise using tripods if only to stop the viewer feeling ill. ( It also
helps keep an expensive camera a bit safer!)Here ( possibly) are 3 very
short web versions of a couple of evening video nights. I got the idea from
Chris5th who actually shows the videos the same night. I tend to take them
home and edit them a bit and show them the following week.
