I have just made a short film using i-movie for the Sedan Chair rally
- of you want, I can send you a copy by email.

That would be good. My email as as is but remove the NS.

I am gong to be doing the same thing with the Beavers over the next
few weeks.

Film making is exceptionally easy these days. At school, I run a film
club and make a short animation each week in a 10 minute time frame.

That must be tight time wise. I once made a short cine animation and it took
hours.

What you could do is get them to develop a script on some social
theme, such as drugs or whatever, and then then get then to make the
film on their phones.

The hardest bit is getting them to come up with ideas - too many suggest
Hollywood blockbusters and have few ideas of their own. And getting it on
paper as a story board and script. They seem to think that dialogue is easy
until you put them in a situation where they need some.

Upload them to i-movie or Windows Movie Maker, edit them and add music
and titles.

I personally always find it dificult editing. With the sort of thing I have
done being holidays and camps where you are trying to ensure that everything
is covered. Kandersteg the other year is still not finished as it is still
quite long (cut from over 3 hours to 25 mins).

They can then be exported to quick time or similar where they can be
played on the web.

I tend to use Ulead and put them back to CD, DVD or Digital tape.

Remember of course that the rules relating to identification of
youngsters apply.

I know that.

Hope all this helps.

It does a little and has given me an idea or 2.

Cheers
