three season sleeping bag

How long do they last?
(Daft question - how long is a piece of string)
I spent £50 on a three seson sleeping bag eight years ago, and I felt COLD
in it last weekend. It's presumably had it - but is that the right sort of
length of time for it to last?

And does anyone have any recommendations for a replacement?
(Bearing in mind I'm on the large size, and might be better off with a
double sized one!)
