One of the basics of Buddhism is something called the eightfold path, which is are guidelines on how to lead your life to become more happy and eventually reach nirvana.
You can think of these as being very similar to the scout laws. This isn't a perfect fit but it works for me. You could probably do something similar with the 10 commandments.
Right understanding
4 A Scout belongs to the world-wide family of Scouts.
Right thought
1 A Scout is to be trusted.
Right speech
3 A Scout is friendly and considerate.
Right action
2 A Scout is loyal.
6 A Scout makes good use of time and is careful of possessions and property.
Right livelihood
7 A Scout has self-respect and respect for others.
Right effort
5 A Scout has courage under all difficulties.
Right mindfulness
7 A Scout has self-respect and respect for others.
Right concentration
6 A Scout makes good use of time and is careful of possessions and property.
