Sorry, but that's not the case.
It's been through Kent before.
Blink and you miss it.
There is nothing to see. A man on a bike. Big deal.
It's so much more than a man on a bike. That stage is two
HUNDRED kilometres long, and they'll average something like
30 miles an hour. At the finish they'll be doing about 50-55mph.
They'll keep that up for weeks.
Did you watch it last time?
Oh they will, they reckon 1 million people went to see the TdF last
time it came to the UK. They'll get there before the road closes,
or come by train. They'll be there.
Really?
They weren't last time.
Portsmouth was heaving, as was Ditchling Beacon. That was my
experience.
YiS,
With a comment like FFS ?
I doubt it.
It wasn't directed at you, well, I hope not, just the moaners who
complain about everything without taking part in anything.
Blame it on a bad week.
I was about to try and think of an analogy, something that I
wouldn't be interested in, and actually be miffed about if they
staged it in my town. I dunno, if they staged the world
fishing championship in the town centre, and closed the town
off, I'd still go and have a look.
