YP vs Kids

Since starting at the School I have noticed two HUGE differences in terminology

(1) Scout have YP, schools refer to them as "Kids" or on the case of the brilliant books by Sue Cowley "the buggers"

I am going back to say "Kids" because everybody knows what you mean, and AIUI the OED has had it above "young goat" for some time.

(2) Some schools have woken up and have IT lessons while some still cling to the term ICT. Most teachers at my school seem to have come in from industry so luckily for me its "IT" Hurrah!
