Being a bit of a traditionalist I have always fancied teaching the YP
a bit of Semaphore. Tried chatting up a few mums to make me some flags
but drew a blank.
Don't ask them to make. Ask for old shirts. The backs are idea. Cut off
the arms and straighten the edges.
Use iron on stuff for turning up trousers to edge it and then staple it to a
piece of timber - even some "prunings" taken from the local hedgerow will
do.
