We always used to call them the "when we" brigade as every disapproving
comment was prefaced by "when we" as in "when we were running a troop/a
Pack/ a Camp/a Parade, etc". Of course, now of advancing years, I'm
constantly striving to avoid doing the same myself.

I also used to wonder what the collective noun should be for a collection
of Commissioners. Any ideas?

An irrelevance? Or is that the collective noun for HQ staff - in my
advancing years I get easily confused :-)
