Actually, I'm seriously considering these Nordic Teepees, that sleep a
whole regiment at a time and have a central fireplace :-) Woe betibe
the first Scout that damages one of them!
Strange you shoudl say that so am I, we saw some last year and they
really looked the dogs bits, the only problem was the poles that are
about 7m long.... hang on.... didn't I just read about some 7m poles
:-)

We've just bought 2 Lavvu 12's - see http://wolfcamper.dk/
Well made, sturdy, big enough for a patrol but easily carryable and poles
collapse inside each other to less than a metre.
I want at least 2 more!!!

I like it....very much!
My problem is the one that set us moving out of 14ft canvas ridge tents and
into lightweight ones in the first place... our commitment to totally mixed
patrols. It has been such a tremendous success but requires the flexibility
of being able to sleep 2/4 or 3/3 mix on each patrol site. Troops who herd
girls and boys into large separate tents seem to be to be watering down the
'patrol camping experience' somehow.
BUT I do like these tents!
