We are planning a long weekend in London next February, using the
iovernigt sleeper train from Glasgow and staying at BP house for one
night (£16 B&B). I like the idea of HMS Belfast though, thanks for the
idea.

Good luck, Kevin

Have you considered Megabus (www.megabus.com) from Glasgow to London? We've
used them a few times for journeys between Perth and Edinburgh, and they've
been fine (London is a little further, of course!).

I know that an overnight coach has a little less allure than sleeper trains,
but the prices are pretty good if you book in advance (I'll admit, here,
that I work for Stagecoach, but I get neither discount nor commission on
Megabus).
