Interesting comment from Magellan after I asked them for some advice
and help with one of their GPS .
We are no longer going to sell in Europe and are unable to help - so
basically you can whistle for any service. Thanks Magellan we know
where to buy now!
Two years after sending several requests to Garmin in UK by e-mail, I am
still
waiting a reply.

How can several requests be a one off? :o)
However having
looked at Magellans over the years, it seems that Garmin deservedly have
the
GPS market sewn up. My Garmin iQue M5 PDA/GPS is just about the best combo
ever, both for land and sea navigation.
Don't forget they lead in software too, which is as important as their
hardware.
Of course if you are looking for car navigation by GPS, there is all
manner
of crap around, Garmin included.
Garmin was already the best when I bought one in 1997. My request was
about
updating the software.
