This has been covered here before in 2000, but I wondered if anyone
can point me to a decent correspondence school for RYA yacht masters
theory ?
Of course all of the schools say that their system is the best,
cheapest, quickest etc.
I'm just looking for quality, cost whilst being important is not the
main factor.
Cheers

It's probably no help, but I'd recommend doing it at night school rather than correspondence.
I started a correspondence course when I wanted to do it, but with pressures of job, family etc. I found I kept getting excuses not to lock myself away and study. I also felt having no real human interaction left me unsure of my understanding too often. I eventually gave up, and later in life did evening classes through a sailing school, and found it very much more successful and enjoyable. As much as anything, having a weekly date meant I made time to do it, and the deadline looming gave me the incentive I needed to complete the homework. I was fortunate in having a good instructor, but just having the sounding board of the others on the course was a boon, plus I got to meet some like minded people, some of whom I ended up sailing with.
