To add one penny:
That leg from Iceland to Scotland was planned for two weeks.
After starting from Iceland, the yacht met very rough weather and returned to Iceland, where the skipper went to the
hospital with pneumonia.
Two other crew members left with him to assist.
New skipper took flight to Iceland and the yacht sailed then to Scotland.
So they were rather in a hurry.
BTW they sailed one tack all the way ;-)

Now that a more complete picture is emerging, I, for one, would not criticise the decisions that were made.task, although there were equipment failures (which can happen in the best regulated circles).
Making that trip at this time of year is something of an adventure, but the boat and her crew appeared to be up to the
At the end of the day, a happy outcome and a relieved crew.
