Spare wheel & bearings are a good idea.
A VERY good idea - Have 'been there' when one of your boat trailer's 4
wheels goes bang. delicate to get off the motorway and a pain to get a
replacement wheel at 7pm.....

Many years ago I used to tow a 24' trailer sailer in Australia on a
single axle trailer. One Christmas day I was towing it at a bit faster
than its recommended speed. And noticed a wheel that looked very like
one of my trailer wheels overtake me and then head off into the sugar
cane field I was passing. It took some time to find the wheel and I
was surprised how well the brake drum survived its contact with a
bitumen surface for what was quite a distance. The hardest thing was
to find replacement wheel studs and nuts on a Christmas day.
