I've just watched the DVD of Deep Water - the story of Donald Crowhurst's
sad trip & death. It is done as a documentary, and covers the subject well,
though with an inevitable melancholy about it.
I had not realised that Robin Knox-Johnston donated his £5,000 prize money
( a lot of money in 1969, equivalent to about £100,000 today !) to the
Crowurst family. What a wonderfully generous (and costly!) gesture.

I recently managed to catch up with Deep water on Wide Screen (flicks,
that is, not plasma). I thought is was very well done, very
sympathetic and not over sensationalised.

Likewise, I had not known about RNJ's very generous gesture.
