solid' medium to 'push against'.
I think you mean denser. You're wrong on this. If you can use a fluid
(air) to push against another fluid (water) you can certainly do the
reverse. (In theory - in practice it might be a bit different)
That would mean a boat that is sailing downwind faster that the wind.
That would be interesting.
