It's probably more where they sail than where they live.

True, but it should be possible for them to find some contributors who
don't think the Hamble to Lymington is thrilling adventure.

The news from around Britain section now seems to be a couple of pages
at most.

True. I do think it's a pity, though, that the character of the
magazines has been diluted so much. It used to be easy: Yachting World
of the racers, Yachts and Yachting for the upwardly mobile, Yachting
Monthly for the keen cruisers and Practical Boat Owner for the Leisure
17 and Corribee owners with a glint in their eye. I don't know about
the first two, but YM and PBO seem practically indistinguishable now.
On the other hand, if they put in a it more about the rest of the UK
they might sell more in the rest of the UK.

And a dying one. Though when the magazines all give the impression
that 40k is entry level and the RYA campaigns against swinging
moorings and in favour of any sort of regulation from which it can
make a profit, what can we expect?
