For my own education really... what exactly were the terms of his ban
when it was first made?
What - if any - extra "riders" or caveats were placed with the ban?
e.g. its a 2 year competition ban BUT a lifetime GB Olympic ban
In other words, was Chambers aware at the start of his competitioon
ban that he would never be selected for GB again whatever? Or is this
something "new". ?
Y'see, I have no problems with selectors selecting who they see fit
(as they do e.g. the England/Scottish/Welsh football/rugby/cricket
teams etc)... but when selection is described as "fulfill these
criteria and you are in" then selectors have painted themselves into a
corner, especially if any lifetime bans weren't advertised until "too
late".
And if 5 million people fulfilled the criteria?
