Re: "Skins" tights - any opinions?

I notice that Skins running tights also seem to offer graduated
support, which should avoid the need to run with my rather
unflattering knee-high socks. However, at twice the price of normal
running tights I'm wondering if anyone can tell me whether Skins are
actually effective?

Define "effective". ;-)

I have a pair that do a wonderful job of delineating my musculature and
*ahem* other bits. Fortunately (fortunately?) I'm not endowed with bits
that make women faint and scare horses. You might want to think about
wearing a long shirt or shorts as well if you're particularly well endowed.
;-)

I assume that that wasn't really the sense in which you meant "effective"
though. In terms of preventing DVTs, I'm sure they would be as effective as
any other compression stocking, maybe more so. Fortunately, knee high socks
are now all the rage what with Paula and other elites now wearing them so if
cost is an issue, I'd stick with the socks.

If you mean "effective" as in reducing post run fatigue etc., can't say yet.
