Needless to say I ignored him. After all its not like I was marketing a
conflicting organisation or anything particularly "iffy". Nor was I in the

I wanted to complain directly to "Race for life" but their website offers no
means (other than a phone number) to pass on a comment. Almost everything on
their FAQ begins "For health and safety reasons..." is it just me or are
they being *really* nanny-ish about the whole thing?

To be brutally frank I'm not sure the Run For Life organisers are
"runners" in the spirit of "running" (you can see I'm eager not to
offend) . My wife and two daughters want to do the RFL locally - it's
one of the most expensive races I've paid for (for what you get) plus
you *have* to make a donation. You have to give a hell of a lot of
info into the website just to enter. £10 each plus the minimum
donation that the website would take £2 - so thats £36 for an untimed
5K .
Whilst it's all very admirable etc and may get some more interested in
running it's the spirit thats lacking - or is it just me ?
