If you must shop in Leeds then I've had good service in the past at Up
& Running on Otley Road but I'd have thought they would be round the
£75 mark give or take a tenner. Which I think is fair enough for the
type of outlet they are.
I came back to running a year ago after about 12 years not running as a
result of Achilles tendon trouble. I went to the Up & Running branch in
York, as I happened to be there for work for a week. I was very impressed
with the care they took to try and fit me up with the right shoes,
watching my gait, etc. I paid about £80, but I consider that well worth
it - after you've got some decent shoes you don't have to spend a great
deal more to run, do you? (Compare it with paying regularly to visit a gym
or a swimming pool for instance.) So if the Leeds branch is as good as the
York one I'd recommend Up & Running.
Ian
Thanks everyone for all your advice.
I suspect I shall start at Sportsshoes Unlimited at Bradford, and if I get a
habit - visit Up and Running in Leeds.
....Unless Aldi get me first (thread above)...£11.99 for jogging shoes (I
suspect I am more of a jogger than a runner)...weill they damage my feet?
