Folks,
I am new to this alias, 3 years back I started running on Treadmill,
I was able to run around 3-4 Miles daily, I did this for almost 2
years continuously, I got addicted, since last year I started getting
pain on both of my legs just above the heels or heel bone, there is
some discomfort but can't make out where exactly the pain is. Since
then I have reduced it, but I would like to start again and get train
for Marathon. I almost stopped for 1 - 2 months and started again,
the pain came back again. I consulted my family practioner, he is not
that serious and says shift to something else like cycling etc, but I
don't want to switch as I like running. I changed my shoes, used the
gel stuff, did RICE etc. Nothing is working. Could someone in the same
boat advice me any remedies.
Thanks

Hi Sanjay, can't really help you over the net but if you haven't come across
it before, have a look at
http://www.sportsinjuryclinic.net/cybertherapist/index.php, might help you
work out what's wrong.

I was going to say "try new shoes" but I see you've done that. There's no
real substitute for an experienced pair of hands examining your feet though
and if you can't find a doctor with more of an interest in running injuries
you might want to think about a sports physiotherapist.
